Stat
Study. Patient referred for previous TE suspect of aortic root
dissection. Left arrow shows linear echodensity which is in fact
in continuity with (right arrow) and part of tip of anterior
aortic valve cusp. See corresponding long axis
image.
Esame eseguito d'urgenza. Paziente inviato per sospetta
dissecazione aortica a pregresso esame TE. La freccia
sinistra mostra ecodensitą lineare che tuttavia č in continuitą
con la cuspide valvolare aortica anteriore (freccia destra). Vedi
corrispondente immagine in asse lungo. |

Modifying
exam plane (42°) shows normal aortic valve and root. Small arrows
indicates what was thought to be a dissection flap and in fact is
edge of large anterior aortic cusp. Asterisk shows
origin of right coronary artery.
Modificando l'angolo del piano di sezione (42°) si dimostra
normale valvola e radice aortica. Le piccole frecce indicano
quello che era stato indicato come un flap di dissezione della
radice aortica ed in realtą č il bordo della cuspide anteriore
aortica. L'asterisco indica l'ostio della coronaria destra. |

increasing angle of exam plane (48°, correct transverse section
of aortic root in this patient) shows normal aortic valve and root.
Asterisk shows origin of right coronary artery.
Incrementando ulteriormente l'angolo del piano di sezione
(48°, corretta sezione trasversa della radice aortica in questo
paziente) sono evidenti normale valvola e radice aortica. La
freccia indica l'ostio della coronaria destra. . |
