Case TT3314

          A. Apical 4-chamber View, 2D

 Compare to Normal Anatomy

Male,  60 y., follow-up study in dilated cardiomyopathy, LBBB on ECG. Date of study:  2008

Previous studies 2004-2007: moderate LV dilatation (EDV= 90-130 ml/m2); severe reduction of LV EF (37%); severe mitral regurgitation at qualitative (jet area) and semi-quantitative (vena contracta= 6-7 mm) evaluation; normal estimated LV filling pressures; normal pulmonary systolic pressure.
Present study: EDVi= 128 ml/m2; EFb= 37%; LA area= 31 cm2; Ep= 70 cm/s; E/Ea= 11.

Follow-up study: clinical status (asymptomatic), blood pressure (normal) and medications unchanged.
Present study: EDVi= 123 ml/m2; EFb= 49%; LA area monopl.= 31 cm2; Ep= 83 cm/s; E/Ea= 7.
